Miami Swim Week 2024 Kicks Off with “Lights Out with Lavish” After Party Fashion Show Supporting Shak’s Hope Charity
Miami, FL – May 29, 2024 – The much-anticipated Miami Swim Week 2024 began with a spectacular event that blended high fashion, philanthropy, and futuristic tech: the “Lights Out with Lavish After Party Fashion Show.” The event, held to support Shak’s Hope charity for sickle cell awareness, embraced the theme “Be the glow you wish to see in the world,” delivering an unforgettable experience at Lavish’s newest venue, Sound Mecca, in North Miami.
As guests entered the venue, they were immersed in a world of neon magic. With no lights other than black lights, the room transformed into a glowing wonderland. The atmosphere was electrified as 28 stunning models from Lavish Looks by LauLau graced the runway, showcasing an array of vibrant swimwear that literally glowed under the black lights. The visual spectacle left the audience in awe, epitomizing the event’s theme of being a radiant force in the world.
Starting at 11 pm, the fashion show served as a unique after-party for attendees of Miami Swim Week’s earlier events. This strategic timing allowed fashion enthusiasts to continue their night with an equally captivating event with hostess, Laura Sylvia, CEO / Founder of Lavish By LauLau. For those unable to attend, including families of the international models, the show was live-streamed on YouTube and within the Metaverse world of Lavish, courtesy of XR Labs Miami. This digital extension ensured that the excitement reached a global audience, making the experience inclusive and far-reaching.
Sound Mecca, the state-of-the-art venue, played host to this luminous affair. Its giant, high-quality projection screen broadcasted live footage, capturing every dazzling moment on the runway as well as the enthusiastic crowd. Guests mingled and danced to the beats of DJs STWOT and The UNXPCTD, whose music set the perfect tone for the night. Adding to the musical lineup, Spanish singer Dreko R. performed, infusing the event with his unique flair.
The evening was made even more enjoyable by the sponsors. Rude Bwoy Spirits provided a selection of four different types of liquor, ensuring guests were well-served. Meanwhile, StickyPalmsProductions, another key sponsor, engaged attendees with their innovative offerings.
In a true display of Lavish luxury, the models had a private photoshoot at the Lavish Model Mansion before the show. This exclusive session, which took place during the fittings, ensured the creation of top-notch media content. The mansion’s diverse settings, including a strip club room, poolside, and game room, provided a variety of backdrops for the six photographers and videographers on site, capturing the essence of Lavish’s opulent style.
The “Lights Out with Lavish After Party Fashion Show” was not just a fashion event but a celebration of creativity, technology, and philanthropy. By supporting Shak’s Hope, the event highlighted the importance of sickle cell awareness and demonstrated the power of the fashion community to effect positive change. As Miami Swim Week 2024 unfolds, this kickoff event has set a high bar, promising a week filled with style, innovation, and impact.
