Lavish Restaurant Review – Glass Ceiling Rooftop: A Stylish Escape with Bottomless Brunch and Skyline Views

By: Laura Sylvia

Located at 1204 Broadway, Glass Ceiling Rooftop is a chic haven that merges stunning views with an everyday urban sophistication, offering New Yorkers a hidden escape right in the heart of Midtown. Open from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekdays (closed Mondays) and starting at 11 a.m. on weekends, this rooftop hotspot combines the charm of an intimate café with the allure of New York’s skyline, showcasing an up-close view of the Empire State Building through its namesake glass ceiling.

One of the biggest draws here is the weekend bottomless brunch—a lively way to kick off your day with unlimited mimosas or cocktails while soaking in the rooftop’s ambiance. The brunch spread offers a delectable mix of hearty breakfast favorites and light bites, blending the vibrant flavors of classic brunch with creative twists that keep guests coming back for more.

The heart of Glass Ceiling Rooftop is its elegant marble bar, which radiates a modern sophistication, creating a stylish spot to enjoy a handcrafted cocktail or a glass of wine. The surrounding lounge area boasts plush, fashionable seating perfect for unwinding after a busy week, offering a refined yet relaxed environment where guests can savor curated small plates and indulge in conversation.

During my recent visit, I tried the prosciutto pizza flatbread ($20), a server favorite. Topped with ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, hot honey, and arugula, the 12-inch flatbread was as flavorful as it was indulgent—a bit tricky to eat but worth every bite. Within minutes, I had polished it off. Nearby, beautifully arranged charcuterie boards and light bites tempted other guests, adding a touch of elegance to the afternoon.

Adding to the experience is the distinct layout, which combines indoor and outdoor seating options, all designed to let guests savor that “urban oasis” feel. The outdoor terrace is intimate, with seating for only a handful of tables, making reservations essential for those who want to enjoy their brunch or dinner al fresco. Indoors, the cozy, stylish bar area provides a front-row seat to the New York skyline while still offering a touch of privacy.

Perfect for a sophisticated yet relaxed evening, a celebratory brunch, or a casual weekday escape, Glass Ceiling Rooftop redefines the urban routine. With an enchanting atmosphere, thoughtful menu options, and breathtaking views, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to elevate their NYC experience with a touch of style.
