BitAngels Lights Up Las Vegas: A Rare Evo Weekend of Crypto, Community & Connection

This week in Las Vegas, the desert sun rises on a crescendo of community, innovation, and ambition. At the heart of the action: the BitAngels network — a legendary collective of crypto investors and founders — kicking off a full slate of private and semi-public gatherings anchored by their now iconic weekend events at the Tiger Mansion.

The backdrop? The larger Rare Evo conference, hosted at Caesars Forum, has drawn developers, crypto founders, and blockchain advocates from across the world. But it’s BitAngels that’s stolen the pre-weekend spotlight, turning heads with a tightly curated lineup of pitch events, private networking salons, and crypto-curious conversations — all unfolding in a setting as exclusive as it is electric.

Founded by the legendary Michael Terpin, BitAngels is more than just an investment community — it’s a long-running movement. Having helped pioneer early-stage crypto investing since the early 2010s, Terpin remains a titan in the space, known for backing pivotal projects and creating real-world venues for founders to share bold visions.

This weekend’s main BitAngels event — a private pitch session hosted at the Tiger Mansion — features a tight group of emerging startups, handpicked to present directly to a who’s who of active angels and advisors. Behind the scenes, it’s a blend of public relations choreography and real venture matchmaking. For many, this is a first chance to share next-gen applications of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and tokenized infrastructure with a qualified room of believers and check-writers.

“What BitAngels continues to do — in a city like Vegas, during a week like this — is create connection at the highest level.”

CryptoMondays, a global community gathering series with meetups in over 60 cities, is also making its presence felt. At the Tiger Mansion, Crypto Corridor organizers and longtime CryptoMondays leaders are participating directly in the BitAngels programming. Their goal? To foster connections between long-term builders and new communities in cities like Las Vegas, where Web3 is still finding its center of gravity.

Among those speaking this weekend is Christopher Marshall, known for organizing CryptoMondays in Miami, Las Vegas, and other hubs. Marshall delivered brief but impactful remarks as part of the discussion introduced by presenter Kat Nowak, who has helped bridge conversations across the crypto and creative industries.

“Community isn’t a luxury. It’s infrastructure,” said Christopher Marshall during his remarks. “CryptoMondays and Crypto Corridor are creating the real architecture of trust that helps new users and veterans come together.”

Marshall’s work, tied to his nonprofit and broader initiatives within the Crypto Corridor, includes building out educational and strategic platforms for crypto adoption. He has helped lead regional development for blockchain mining education and regulatory literacy — often connecting national security, energy, and digital assets in a shared policy framework.

“Crypto isn’t just a product you buy. It’s a policy you live in. It’s a question of national importance.”

Kat Nowak, whose media and events experience crosses into design and entertainment, remarked on the unique energy at the mansion during this year’s gathering. She emphasized the importance of diverse voices and leaders sharing space with angels and OGs.

“There’s something very special about these moments. You’re watching ideas form in real time. You’re watching teams become real.”

Though Rare Evo continues through the weekend with panels, workshops, and expos from blockchain leaders, it’s BitAngels that’s drawing elite attention. From venture capitalists and founders to infrastructure pioneers and creators, the Tiger Mansion event has become a place where new alliances are forged away from the mainstage spotlight.

The Rare Evo team, for their part, continues to offer a welcoming and inclusive backdrop for these satellite events. The Caesars Forum has become a de facto home for many post-pandemic crypto events — offering enough prestige, polish, and room for sidecar activations like BitAngels to thrive.

Meanwhile, leaders like Marshall are bringing perspective from national and international work — particularly on how mining, energy, and compliance frameworks intersect with community growth. His remarks included insight on how U.S. cities and states are increasingly becoming battlegrounds for crypto education and economic development.

“We’re mapping out the future,” Marshall added. “But we’re doing it from the ground up — one conversation, one event, one person at a time.”

As Saturday approaches, BitAngels continues their private schedule of mentorship, review, and deals — and the city of Las Vegas finds itself once again at the intersection of spectacle and substance. In the end, what’s happening at the Tiger Mansion may matter more than what’s on stage — and that’s exactly how BitAngels likes it.
